Commitment and Conviction: Invest In Time Wisely

Commitment and Conviction: Invest In Time Wisely

Once, again I will like to welcome you to our website. our discourse for the next couple of weeks will be centered on commitment and conviction.

It is my belief that these two words will help shape and determine what we get out of this present life and in eternity.

I will like to start this discourse by saying that the greatest reality of life is that life is in progression. It is not static. The moment a child is born, time begins to tick, days rolls into weeks, months and into years. Nothing can be done to hold life down. Life always plays in a forward direction. It never goes backward. Once a move is made there is no going back.

God set time in motion when He created day and night,” And God said, let there be light in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years(Genesis 1:14)
The days surely go slowly, but the years go fast. Life does not have a rewind.
We therefore get what we have invested our lives in.
Apostle Paul while addressing the Christians in Galatians said “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” (Gal.6:7).Contrary to this eternal truth and principle of life, some feel they can “eat and have their cake” at the same time.
With the passing of each day we should be asking ourselves what are we investing our lives in? Have I added any value to life today? Have I sown the right seed? How have I used my time and energy today? Have I been faithful in the use of God’s resources in my life? A change today, will lead us to our desirable haven.
Our investment in time will definitely brings us into a place of joy or regret.
Memory verse:
“Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: which having no guide, oversee, or ruler, provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. (Proverbs 6:6-8)
